Nail Shrek Collection

I promised another hair dye but guess what, I'm going bald. Not the usual "Oh I see a bald spot in the back", but a full throttle "Ah my hair is thin and fine but on top of that, its starting to fall out so all I see is scalp for my hairline used to be". For a girl with already fine and thin hair, this is cruel way of nature to mock me with the beginning signs of female patterned baldness, who comes from a line of family who naturally has a full thick head of hair. If this seems like rambling then yes it is.
I also have been slow on putting on makeup because its hot and I'm lazy . Also I hate when this happens, but I got some of the new wet n' wild to try out, but left the bag at a restaurant, and they didn't have it when I got back. That just made me not want to buy anything for a while.

That didn't apply to my sister, who I noticed got the Shrek nail polish collection. I tried, What's With the Cattitude? and Rumple's Wiggin'

Basically a pastel Blue and Pastel Lavender. I feel like I've seen these before, and while yes they are pretty, they aren't that original. I'm pretty sure Essie has put out similar colors to these before. But for those who can't find it, Revlon's new polishes has somewhat looks like the purple in their new collection. Forgot the name, but it went some thing like Lilac.. something. So when it goes on sale get that and a color called Minted. It looks similar to Mint Candy Apple, and if you're lucky, you can get bogof for a great deal.

Hair Change

NOPE! It didn't happen. I faithfully followed the instructions, waited an extra 10 min before rinsing and Voila! Nothing. If anything, my hair is drier and coarser than before. While I cry in corner, and also curse the loss of my once beautifully textured virgin hair, let me tell you what I used. Before
The Wella Color Charm Hair Dye in Medium Blonde with their Activating Lotion. See I faithfully used their own brand products. I wanted to go for lighter brown, and for all you ladies who are worried about going blonde, this won't happen. You first have to strip your natural hair color if you want to become a beach blonde. Picking up a blonde hair dye won't do anything for you if don't bleach your hair first.

After
See my frowny face. Not happy but will reattempt, this time its some Korean hair dye that's apparently better than regular dyes because its made from squid ink. I don't know how it works but will tell you about it.

Non Makeup Related

My family has had a guest com over from Korea, and guess who was chosen to be her designated tour guide. Oddly enough I am the worst with no sense of direction and have managed to get lost at least once when going to a new place. So I've been busy playing tour guide. If you decide to come to Nyc as a tourist one stop that I recommend in the Metropolitan Museum. The suggested price is 20 per person, but I paid 10 for the both of us. You can get in for free if you want. In exchange for that paltry sum (sorry, about that...) I got to experience a mind exploding time there. Check out the entrance pin. I kept mine instead of returning it, can't help my hoarding tendencies. T he museum is one I would thoroughly recommend because not only does it have a wide variety of exhibits with pieces ranging form all parts of the world focusing on many different subjects, until August, they have a Picasso exhibition. The museum is huge, and I could spend the whole day there and not regret it. Make sure to wear sneakers because there is a lot of walking required. Next time I want to go and get one of those audio speakers to get a clear understanding of the art.

On a different note, my parents are trying to grow their own sweet potato tree and look...

its a semi-success. Not only does it have its own roots but also has leaves growing out of it. By the time they plant it, winter is going to be upon us. Maybe next year.

On a beauty related note, I will dye my hair today and will tell you how that goes.

PS. Totally passed my Driving License Test. WHeeeee

NYC Creme Stick in Wild Berry

I know you've probably seen this before, so and if you skip this review, totally understandable. I never really used creme blushes but I recently fell in love with the NYC Creme Stick in Wild Berry because of the review on Mocha Mish Mash's site. I don't know if the stores in NY are the last to get them, or if its just my neighborhood, but I've had a lot of trouble finding this. The only one that I have that comes similar to this that I own, is the Stila convertible in Lillium. I got the stila one a long time ago in a mini set, so I'm not sure how much it is, but wait let me google it... The full size is $25 for .15 oz. / 4.25 g !!! Glad I got the mini in a sample case. The NYC is $4 for .28oz/8.0g, almost double the price. I don't use the stila often, but I still have a ton of product left, so I don't think I'll be repurchasing both anytime soon. Get ready for my awesome photo shopping skillz...

You can't really see it based on the photo but both show up nicely, blended smoothly and is nice. The stila is a bit stickier, and the NYC is a bit smoother. Both last fairly well, but the stila lasts just a bit longer on my skin.
In natural light, it seems that you can't see it well, but be warned. I tries putting a blush on top, and nope I shouldn't have. It looked like I was drunk with my rosy cheeks. Maybe I shouldn't have put on the hot coral blush but, worn alone it looks nice and natural. I probably wouldn't purchase a Stila one because of the price. However, the NYC one is well worth getting again.
BTW:

Happy Birthday to my dad! Got him a manly birthday gift. Power Tools. I know I hate getting gifts for him because he is pickier about things more than anyone in the family. If all else fails, get your dad a home depot gift card or some power tools. Guaranteed best gift.

Wet n' Wild Lipstick

I managed to locate my camera in the deepest recesses of my bag that I rarely use. My sister found it when she was borrowing it. Conversation went something like this. Me:"I can't find my mofo camera". Sis"It's in the bag, its been in there when I borrowed it four days ago". Me"---" Sis:"Dumbass, that's why we don't buy you nice things". On forwards to the review. Wet n' Wild Lipsticks in 903c and901b for $3.00 at your local drugstores (in the new black packaging). My stores stocks these late, and there were some slim pickings. Luckily it was bogo50%, so I felt better about buying these. Pretty nice colors, decent price and fairly moisturizing but would put on a lip balm first. My sister first saw this and her first phrase was "The packaging looks cheap. It looks like it going to break easily". Yes, she was right. The plastic is fairly cheap, and it squeaks when I turn the lid, but for a cheap lipstick like this, I don't mind. In fact. I think that you are totally getting a good deal for these.
L to R: 903c and901b with pink pout at the end.

903c is a bit coralish and pink in color, and 901b is a fairly milky bright pink. 901b was compared to Pink Pout, but I don't think so. Pink Pout is a bit deeper in color and have different finishes. I've heard that these are matte, but that is clearly not the case. These have a bit of shine to them and glide on very smoothly. I find that matte lipsticks tug a bit on my lips, but these did not. Extremely pigmented, glided on smoothly and stayed on for a fairly long period of time. Totally will pick these up again and definitely recommended for the drugstore price. Sorry about being unable to show pictures on my lip, but I currently have a cold sore and haven't put anything near my lips. Once it heals, will definitely be show them off.
