Milani 3D Lipgloss in In Vogue

It is cold here in nyc today, and for several weeks it has been snowing and raining. It may not look much but I can’t wait for winter to end. Only thing that keeps me going is imaging sipping a margarita on some tropical beach, with nothing but sun and beach boys. Sigh, then I wake up and look outside.

Noooo. I managed to get my ass out of bed and to a Cvs and pick up a birthday card and this Milani 3D Glitzy lipgloss, In Vogue.

Excuse the nails, I was extremely bored. I still haven’t found my perfect shade of red lipstick, so instead, I tend to lean towards buying sheer red or neutral lipglosses instead. Like my favorite red lipgloss Revlon’s Cherries in the Glow, I was expecting sheer pigmentation with bits of fuchsia glitter. So immediately I get in the car and try this on, and I quickly find myself reaching for a tissue to wipe it off. This color is bold like "Ah! what the hell are you wearing I could see only your lips from two blocks down" bold. Extremely pigmented, hot pink rather than red, and unfortunately, too bright for me to put on directly from the tube. I have to put this on my finger and blot this on to my lips for me to make it wearable, because what you see is what you get.

Now maybe I’m just a wuss when it comes to color, but for anyone else who likes extremely pigmented bright lip glosses, this is definitely for you. I just tend to prefer sheer or natural looking lips, so back to the drawer for you.
